Why doesn’t God heal everyone? How come some people are healed/set free but others are not? In short, it’s because the Church of Jesus Christ, as a whole, does not appropriate the power of God. The Church knows all the Bible verses and all of God’s promises, but they don’t know how to appropriate the power.
To “appropriate” means to “snatch, catch, or to take by force”. It’s so important to appropriate the power of God because without His power, it’s impossible to meet the needs of humanity.
In this Sunday morning’s services, Apostle Maldonado focused on a relationship with God and prayer as ways to appropriate God’s power.
An example of this power is found in Acts 1:8. This power was given to the apostles because they each had a relationship with God.
Relationships follow the “law of exchange”, meaning that there is always a give and take for both parties in the relationship. Specifically, names, wills, and strengths are exchanged when two people enter into a relationship.
God will give you His power. Before God commits His power to you, He demands a relationship with you. God won’t give His power to someone who doesn’t have a relationship with Him.
Once you have a relationship with God, you will be able to demonstrate His power at will. You will not need to ask Him for it because you will already have it!
