On Thursday May 4, 2017, our Apostle Guillermo Maldonado was invited to Washington D.C. He was called to witness President Trump sign the executive order promoting free speech in religious liberties.

The new executive order lessens the IRS restrictions against political opinions from religious organizations. In 1954 an order was passed known as the Johnson Amendment to restrict churches from being allowed to express their political views.

As of May 4, pastors are now free to support candidates on a partisan basis from the pulpit. This action was a great victory for the church. Now the Department of Justice must protect religious individuals and groups, allowing them their freedom of speech.
The order was signed on the National Day of Prayer. Our Apostle, along with other religious leaders, supported the President in signing this order.
