6 Things You Should Do If You’re Feeling Spiritually or Emotionally Weak

  • Banner 1

Sometimes we become spiritually or emotionally weak due to several factors. When we are constantly serving, working, or investing time on others, it drains us. It is important that we get fed spiritually, and remember to put our full trust and find our strength in God.

Obedience is a key factor not only for our spiritual well-being, but it is also necessary if we want to appropriate the power of God.

6 Things You Should Do If You Are Feeling Spiritually or Emotionally Weak:

1.) Depend on God. Remember we can do all things through Christ!

2.) Depend on His strength instead of your own.

3.) Trust that God’s will for your life is better than your own plans.

4.) Obey God and do what is right, not what you want.

5.) Believe that what Christ paid for on the cross (healing, salvation, blessings, breakthrough) is yours

6.) Be bold and appropriate the power of God

What is obedience?

Obedience is submission to authority by choice. Submission applies not only to God, but to earthly authorities as well, like parents, bosses, and pastors. You cannot appropriate God’s power if you are rebellious. Obedience requires you to surrender to God. However, when you decide to yield your will to Him, you appropriate the power of God.

Your obedience will be tested in these three areas:

Convenience – Whenever God asks something from you, it will usually be outside of what is convenient to you.

Comfort – Many times God will test your obedience to Him, taking you out of your comfort zone.

Profitable – Sometimes God will ask you to do things that are not profitable, that will not represent any gain, or give anything in return. For example, sowing into someone’s life.

But, during all these three tests, you must continue to obey God. Because God will reward your obedience by outpouring His power.

The more you obey and depend on God the more He will deposit His power in you, giving you strength and boldness!

If, for example, God asks you to start serving in church, or if He tells you to give an offering to someone, you have to submit to His will and obey. Once you obey, God will release a blessing over your life in return. God is waiting for you to submit.

In your weakness, surrender everything to God.

Don’t be a casual, passive Christian. Obey God to receive strength and appropriate God’s power!
